I often go out in the Nova Scotia wilds to get photo references for my paintings. Most of these outing are for 1/2.5 hours, not long hikes, but long enough that you have to go prepared. I'd like to share what I've learned about these 'mini' hikes and what to bring along to make the experience safe and fun!
